Stace Atter

Stace Atter

Stace graduated from Sacopee Valley High School in Hiram, Maine in 2004. Currently, Stace is employed at Saint Joseph’s College. Stace is also a Special Olympics athlete, specializing in track & field. She is also a member of the Casco Chapter of SUFU.

Stace has been a very important part of SUFU’s efforts to improve the transportation system in Maine for people with disabilities. Testimony she wrote on negative experiences she went through was shared with the Health and Human Services Committee of the Maine State Legislature.

From testimony such as Stace’s and meetings with community partners, a “Transportation Bill of Rights” was created and was distributed to all Maine transportation providers that receive funding from Mainecare.

For Stace, the best aspect of being on the SUFU Board is the relationships she has built with people. In her spare time, Stace enjoys horseback riding.
