Hey everyone!
Are you looking for something different to read, watch or listen to?  Well I have one of each for you this weekend!

The Maine Developmental Disabilities Council recently put together a news insert that went along with their annual report. In it you you will find stories from Kile Pelletier and Stephanie Tardif, Chris Dupont, and MaryAnn Preble among others. We encourage you to read through all of the stories featured in this. You can find it here.

If you are looking for a movie to watch this weekend, check out Crip Camp on Netflix.  It is a “documentary recounts the ties of a Catskills summer camp to American disability rights activism in the 1970s”   I’m adding this to my list of movies to watch.   We plan to talk about this in our upcoming statewide calls.

Next, if you like Oral History, The Maine Developmental Disabilities Council has a new Podcast Series “Life On My Own” featuring six different individuals and giving a voice to their perspectives on life in an institution.  I have listened to one already this week and will be listening to the others in the near future!  You can find them here.

Lastly this has been one of my favorites this past week.  The Monterey Bay Aquarium   Live Cams!   They aren’t always streaming live, but you can watch recordings if they cams are off.  When they are on though it can provide great entertainment.  Choose from Penguins, Moon Jelly, Sharks and more!

Stay safe everyone!
