Hi there, I’m Jon McGovern and I am the new Program Associate for SUFU. I’m very excited! Part of my new job will be making phone calls, attending meetings, helping with the Annual SUFU Conference, other tasks that Monique needs me to do and to work for you, the membership of SUFU.
I’m 33 years old and I live in Bangor. I used to have a job at Miller Drug before I started working for SUFU. My favorite things to do are roller derby, bowling leagues, and going to see wresting in Brewer Maine. I like to watch TV and I would love to go see a Civil War reenactment. I like to do things for my state as well.
I have a disability, too. I’m a person with type 1 diabetes. If you ever have any questions about it, just ask.
We are looking to get new people to join SUFU, especially people between the ages of 19-35. We want to get more people in their community and our local chapters have been doing Community Service Projects. The changes and journey awaits ahead.
