Alicia Duchette from the Springvale chapter shares her weight loss journey. She was inspired by her parents and her doctors as they were concerned about her weight.
From Alicia:
I now exercise every day and measure out what I’m going to eat. I have been working with a nutritionist to help me with my food choices. For exercise I enjoy walking and using my gazelle. I have a Fitbit that helps me track my steps and I get 10,000 steps every day.
It has been a lot of work for me but I have been working hard to lose weight and it is worth it in the end. I feel stronger and healthier. My clothes are getting bigger. I feel great about myself and taking care of my health has also changed my moods.
I would like to encourage others to take care of themselves. This may mean losing weight. This has helped me take better care of my whole body including my heart.
I have lost 58 pounds. My goal is to stay healthy and to continue take care of myself. The weight loss is a benefit of that.
I would encourage others to take care of themselves. You will feel better like I feel better for myself.
