Hi Everybody

I’m here to talk to you about Advocacy Day at the Statehouse. If you have not been to Advocacy Day get the courage to go.  It’s a lot of fun.  You will need to do some homework in advance and contact your legislator to let him or her know you are coming to the statehouse and would like to talk to them.  Just remember it’s about you and what is important to you.   We want the Legislators to understand where we are coming from and what we have to say.  That is really important to the Legislators.  Maybe it is on a certain LD bill or something you are complaining about.

If it’s your first time going to the Statehouse talk to people that have been to the Statehouse before.   So, you may be less nervous and can experience the Statehouse firsthand.  You then have the courage to come back to the Statehouse again and again.

Once you have done Advocacy Day you will be telling your friends and family members about your visit at the Statehouse and what you experienced.

From 2019 Advocacy Day at the Statehouse.

Advocacy Day is on April 25th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. You must preregister here.
Registration closes on April 7th. We hope you join us!
