Hi everybody, it’s Jon
I will be attending Disability Pride Day event facilitated by our friends at Disability Rights Maine. That will be held on July 18th at Mill Park in Augusta. There is going to be a lot of people there including people with Disabilities. SUFU will not have a table this year but I Jon and some other SUFU Members will be going instead.
Sometimes people ask do you know anything on Disability Pride? Yes! We live with Disability pride every day, but Disability Pride is like being your friend. You take a lot away from being at Disability Pride Day event. You can also educate the different people at each table there. There will be guest speakers and maybe a band.
A News Crew might be there as well. If you went last year you will still enjoy it, and you may be able to help someone else that is going for the first time! July is Disability Pride Month and we get to do this every July. We also get to meet our allies like people from DRM or CCIDS and others. You will have Fun at Disability Pride Day.
Going to Disability Pride Day every year brings joy to people & people with Disabilities.
