I have been working hard on a budget committee with David Ledin and Carol Lanouette.
We are learning where SUFU’s money comes from, and how it is spent. It is our job to make sure SUFU’s money is being spent on the right things, and make sure that SUFU has enough money to pay their bills. If we are spending too much money on certain things it is our job to let the board know.
We get our information from the Disability Rights Center, our fiscal agent;
they collect our money, keep our records, and pay our bills for us. They are
like a rep payee for SUFU.
The budget committee studies the budget reports they get and gives information to the board.
