The Little Dog

By Heidi Segercoffee cup

A couple of times a month I go down to a place called the Little Dog Café. No it’s not a place they serve small dogs coffee, honest, it isn’t. It’s a coffee shop in my home town of Brunswick. It’s my community and I love it.

The Little Dog has open microphone and anyone can go there and share their talent. Some people sing, some tell jokes or read poetry. I tell jokes. I like to tell jokes. I like to laugh and I like to make other people laugh. Laughter is one of my favorite sounds!

A lot of local people go to the Little Dog Café. I go there with my best friend Amy. Amy isn’t just my friend she is my critic and my biggest fan. After we leave the Little Dog we go to Dunkin Donuts, have a coffee and talk about the Little Dog. I hate for the evening to end! The Little Dog is one of the ways I keep involved with my community.

If you ever get to Brunswick stop by the Little Dog maybe I’ll make you laugh too.
