 I Still Can’t Believe It!

By Kelly Baston

It’s so exciting for me to know that our training would go so far. We didn’t know that many people would be interested in learning about exploitation.

We have presented to people in Maine and  Massachusetts several times and we still have more people asking to be trained.

I want to thank SUFU’s Missing Lynx for asking us to present recently in Bangor. It was great; standing room only. I felt like a star.

Our training has caught the attention of some pretty important people at DHHS, people like Peter Alexander, Margaret Rowlands, Jane Gallivan, and Bill Hughes. It was great because they shared information with people and that helped get people to the training. Jodi, Margaret, Peter also shared information. We’d like to thank them all and our friends at the DRC;  they provided refreshments. They all think it’s fantastic that we’re training people and have really been helpful.

In Massachusetts Jim and I will be training trainers because we just can’t be everywhere. When we get time we also want to train people in Maine to present.

Jodi Benvie (DRC) and I are working on a training called “Kelly’s Rules”. I like helping people learn new things.

Today I have been working on a statewide meeting focusing on emergencies.

I’ll see you at a training soon!
